1) Vulnerability to contamination and protection areas

Project CGL2012-32590 of DGICYT: Research by joint use of natural and artificial tracers to characterize the hydrogeology and groundwater protection in karstic aquifers.

Project PROTEKARST (Public Works Agency of Andalusia): Development of a methodology for the protection of karst regions in relation to infrastructures and other human activities.

2) Hydrology of wetlands.

Projects of Excellence of Junta of Andalusia:

MRI-6895 Hydrogeology of evaporite karst aquifers. Relationship with the genesis, operation and management of wetlands in Andalusia and associated saline seep.

RNM-8087 Hydrogeological characterization of saline wetlands and water springs associated with evaporite karst aquifers of Andalusia, for the proper management of its hydro-bio-geo-diversity and natural heritage.

Work site: outcrops of evaporitic Triassic clayey materials of the northern province of Malaga, south of the province of Cordoba and Jaen.
